About Tech Kick

We build Tech Kick Bot XAUUSD, an automated trading system for MetaTrader 5 that trades one instrument. This page is what we publish, how the figures were measured, and the things we will not claim.

What we make

One product: a licensed Windows application that runs an automated strategy on XAUUSD — spot gold — through MetaTrader 5. It does not trade crypto, stocks or other currency pairs, and we have no plans to add them. A system tuned for one instrument is easier to measure honestly than one that claims everything.

It is not a signal service and not copy trading. The rules run on your own machine or VPS, against your own broker account, and you can read what they are — see the strategy list and how that differs from copy trading.

How we publish figures

We publish the worst measurement, not the best

The headline drawdown on this site is around 21%, taken from the worst of three separate measurements rather than the 7.2% one of them produced. A buyer who sees 7.2% and then lives through 21% has been mis-sold, and the number that matters is the one you have to sit through.

We publish the data, not just conclusions drawn from it

The XAUUSD spread and volatility archive behind our research is released under CC BY 4.0 with the script that reproduces it byte for byte. Anyone can rerun the arithmetic and disagree with us. In a market where "verified results" usually means a screenshot, that is the difference we can actually defend.

We publish what failed

34 strategies were built and tested. Four ship enabled. The other 24 are listed with the reason each one was switched off, because a vendor showing only their winners has told you nothing about their process.

We correct things in public

Two claims on this site were wrong and were fixed rather than quietly edited: a repeated "gold moves $10 to $30 a day" that measurement put at a $76 median, and an advertised monthly return that came from dividing fixed-lot dollar totals by an account balance never sized that way. Both corrections are documented on the pages that carried them.

The figures, in one place

Measured as one unbroken six-month run at $1,000 with live percentage sizing — the closest thing to an installed bot — +3.5% in total across 42 trades, 7.2% maximum drawdown, 38% win rate, 4 of 7 months green. Separate windowed backtests were positive across two periods at 21.2% and 20.5% drawdown. Backtested on historical data, not a live track record.

What we will not claim

  • That it will make you money. It is a way of executing a strategy consistently, not a source of edge in itself.
  • A guaranteed prop firm pass. Two of our three measured drawdowns would breach a 10% limit at default settings, and we say so on the prop firm page rather than in the small print.
  • A win rate without the drawdown and the sample size beside it.
  • Any figure we cannot point at a measurement for.

Not the other Kick

Tech Kick is not affiliated with Kick.com, or with any streaming viewbot, chatbot or channel-automation service. The names are similar enough that search engines and AI assistants confuse them, so to be unambiguous: we build trading software for MetaTrader 5, we have never made a product for livestreaming, and we have no connection to any company that does.

Who runs it

Tech Kick is a small independent operation, not a fund, a brokerage or a signals group. We are not regulated as a financial adviser and nothing published here is financial advice — see the risk disclosure.

The most useful thing we can offer instead of credentials is that the work is checkable: the dataset and method are published, the strategies we cut are listed with reasons, and there is a real person on the other end of the contact page before you buy anything.
