Editorial policy

What follows is what we actually do, not an aspiration. Tech Kick is a small operation rather than a newsroom, and describing it as anything else would be the first thing we tell you that is not true.

Claims are measured or they are not made

Where we state a number about market behaviour, it comes from data we ran ourselves and the method is published with it. Our research section includes the sample size, the control, and the cases where the result was null or contradicted what we expected. A study that only ever confirms the product is marketing wearing a lab coat.

We do not publish performance claims we cannot evidence, guaranteed returns, or testimonials we did not receive. Trading involves risk of loss — see the risk disclosure.

Educational, product, and opinion are kept apart

None of it is financial advice. We do not know your circumstances and are not authorised to advise on them.

Where AI is used, and where it is not

AI assists with research, drafting and code. It does not decide what is true. Every factual claim, number and citation is checked against the source before publication, and anything that cannot be checked is removed rather than softened. Our research studies are produced by running data through code that is committed and reviewable, not by asking a model what it thinks the market does.

We are not trying to publish a large number of pages. Scaled, templated content is both a poor experience and a search liability, and we have removed pages of our own that fit that description.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix the page and say what changed. We have published corrections to our own earlier conclusions where later data contradicted them. If you find an error, tell us — with a source if you have one — and we will check it.

Commercial independence

No advertiser or third party can buy a mention, alter a published page, or see anything before it goes live. How the site earns money is set out in full in the advertising disclosure.
