QUESTION
Are gold trading signals worth it?
SHORT ANSWER
As education, sometimes. As a hands-off income source, rarely — the gap between the published entry and your actual fill removes most of the edge on short-term gold trades, and it always works against the subscriber.
A manual signal requires you to be awake, at a terminal and fast. By the time you have read "buy gold at 4012" and clicked, price has moved. On a strategy targeting a small move, that difference is the whole margin — and gold's spread widens exactly when signals cluster, around news and session opens.
This is why signal services look better in their own records than in subscriber accounts. The provider's history records the provider's fills. Neither party is lying and the two will not match.
The legitimate case is learning. Seeing why an experienced trader takes a setup, in advance, with reasoning attached, teaches something a backtest cannot. Paying for that is reasonable. Paying for it expecting passive income is buying a different product from the one on offer.
Warning signs worth taking seriously
Advertised win rates above about 90% almost always describe a martingale — a system that never takes a loss and adds to losers instead, which works until it catastrophically does not. A high win rate quoted without an average win and average loss beside it is the flattering half of the picture.
Also treat results posted after the move as worthless. Entries must be timestamped before the fact, and a service unwilling to show a verified account behind its calls is asking for trust it has not earned.
