What we learned

Shadow-only. Consensus logic is appealing and carries a specific risk: if the underlying signals are correlated, agreement between them is not independent confirmation, it is the same observation counted several times.

That is the same correlation problem that makes several simultaneous positions look like diversification when they are one bet. Requiring agreement between strategies that already overlap adds confidence without adding information.
