−$30.82 over 9 live trades at a 44% win rate. Decent hit rate, losses too large.
What we learned
A 44% win rate is respectable and above the 34% break-even for a 2:1 ratio, which makes the negative result more interesting than a simple failure. The losses were too large relative to the wins.
That pattern — decent hit rate, poor average loss — usually points at stop placement rather than entry logic. A momentum entry taken after three bars of movement is by construction entering late in a short move, so the natural invalidation point is further away than the setup can afford.
