What we learned
Combining an oscillator with a trend filter is the standard answer to the standard criticism of oscillators — that they fail in trends. The combination did not rescue it: −$305 across the test period, negative in four months.
Together with RSI-REVERSAL, which fired zero times, this closes the oscillator question for our purposes. None of the four strategies we ship is oscillator-driven, and that is a result rather than a preference.
